If you decide to venture out, Thai Square is an award-winning restaurant serving up beautiful food every day of the week.
Looking for somewhere special for dinner with loved ones? Visit Enoteca Turi on Putney High Street, for authentic Italian food from a family run business. Another favourite with locals, is Emile’s – tucked away on Felsham Road, it boasts a European inspired menu and delicious food.
If you love soaking up the cafe culture, visit Grind Coffee Bar on Lower Richmond Road and Cafe Crimson on Upper Richmond Road for a catch up with friends... And if you like to buy your lunch for work, Piccolo on the High Street apparently does amazing sandwiches.

Meeting up with friends is always so easy. There are so many places to go, but the Coat & Badge is my favourite. Its very open and friendly, and the beer garden is great.

If you are fanatical about films, the Odeon Cinema can be found on the Southern end of Putney Bridge, just on the High Street. It has three screens and engages the community with educational and inspiring films.
Become a London tennis member and find players at Leaders Gardens , where facilities include 3 Macadam tennis courts and racquet stringing. The courts are available from 8am-9pm and subject to booking.
If you love your wines, The Idle Hour is a fantastic wine bar, tucked away on Railway Side in Barnes; it has an extensive selection of wines, promoting rare and organic grapes.
The Thames adds to Putney’s character and if you like walking you’ll find a number of interesting discovery routes... The Sculpture Trail, which features nine sculptures by Alan Thornhill starts at Leaders Gardens, and ends a mile later at the Riverside Quarter.
Looking for a piece of contemporary art for your new home? Southfields Gallery is one of South London's best exhibition venues in the heart of Southfields Village, showcasing artists from Wandsworth and beyond.
The Gallery covers a huge variety of contemporary arts and media including painting, prints, photography, sculpture and ceramics.
Every year, Putney Bridge is the starting point of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. Local pubs, bars and restaurants make the most of this famous event by supplying music, entertainment and a market in Church Square, by the Odeon cinema.

Moomba on Lacy Road is a favourite amongst locals and The Boathouse in Putney Wharf offers great views across the Thames. Sunny weather brings flocks of locals to The Telegraph, a beautiful countryside pub set in the heart of Putney Heath... Catch some rays and sample the great selection of British Ales and wine on offer.
The quirky Cat’s Back is a superb independent London pub with a unique interior and a great atmosphere. Head on down for a tasty Sunday roast or visit on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s for great live music.

After catching a film at the Odeon, you only have to cross the road and you’ll find Be @ 1 Bar & Lounge, which offers some of the best cocktails in Putney. Make the most of their happy hour and sample the bartender’s choice.

Hitting the shops? Make sure you visit Putney Exchange and the High Street; both have a number of well known brands, including Topshop, TK Maxx, Gap, River Island and Waterstones for you to explore... And if you love fashion, you are only a bus ride away from Central London – packed full of shops to suit all tastes.
If you like collecting trinkets, jewellery or ornaments or you need to buy a gift, Farrago on Lacy Road is worth a visit.
For bargains, there are a number of good quality charity shops to rummage through on Upper Richmond Road.
For something a bit special, get on the bus and head to Wimbledon Village, which is packed full of boutique and designer shops. The newly built Westfield Shopping Centre is also definitely worth a visit.
